Bruins, Panthers battle to 1-1 draw

Bethany Christian and NorthWood battled to a 1-1 tie Thursday in the Bruin Invitational.
Taylor Stutsman of NorthWood scored in the 5th minute assisted by Kristyn Burt while Gina Gautsche of Bethany tied it in the 67th, assisted by Emma Caskey. Keeper Natalie Thorne of the Bruins had 11 saves. Danae Ehret had 10 saves for NorthWood.
Bethany now has a 2-1-2 record.
Vero Perea scored the winning goal assisted by Beckie Carrizales with 9:11 left to play as West Noble edged Elkhart Christian Academy 3-2. Vanessa Rangel scored the other two goals. Carolina Guzman made six keeper saves. Laura Conrad scored assisted by Darby Bell and Olivia Auter netted the other goal for ECA.
