NorthWood, Bethany in Invitational tie

NorthWood and Bethany Christian played to a 1-1 tie in the Bethany Invitational Saturday.
Kristyn Burt scored for NorthWood at 12:47 of the second half and Emma Gerig with 4:09 remaining for Bethany.
Both teams finished 2-0-1 in the event. Bethany won the championship based on fewest goals allowed. Bethany allowed one and NorthWood two.
Bethany had a 9-3 edge in shots on goal and NorthWood led 3-2 in corner kicks. Kelly Snyder made three keeper (saves) for Bethany and Danae Ehret seven for NorthWood.

Bethany (5-1-3) visits Trinity Thursday and NorthWood (7-2-2) hosts Elkhart Memorial on Tuesday*.
