Lady Redskins sink Panthers

The Goshen Lady Redskins opened the Northern Lakes Conference portion of their schedule with a 3-1 victory over NorthWood Thursday night at Goshen.
The visitors took an early lead as Kristyn Burt scored on a penalty kick.
Goshen's goals were scored by sophomore Naomi Moreno assisted by freshman Janeth Vela, freshman Karina Medina assisted by Moreno and freshman Gabby Romo unassisted. Both teams had six shots on goals and NorthWood had one corner kick. Junior Gabby Garcia made four keeper saves.
Goshen (2-0) travels to John Glenn in Walkerton on Saturday. Northwood (1-1) hosts their own tournament on Saturday.
The Redskins were 3-0 JV winners.
